# **Set Up the LTI 1.3 Integration**

Genially integrates seamlessly with leading Learning Management Systems (LMS) via LTI 1.3, allowing educators and students to access interactive resources easily and securely.

  

### **Enable the Genially–Schoology Integration (LTI 1.3)**

1.  Log in to Genially with an account that has the right permissions and go to the Settings section.
    
2.  Click LMS Integration in the top menu.
    
3.  Click Connect to another LMS and then click Go to Step 1.
    
4.  Save this information—you’ll need it later.
    

### **Set Up Genially in Schoology (LTI 1.3)**

1.  As an admin, go to the Schoology Apps page and log in.
    
2.  Click Add App.
    
3.  Fill in the App Name, Description, Category, and Available For fields.
    
4.  Select LTI 1.3 App as the App Type.
    
5.  In Can be installed for, choose where users will be able to access the app (e.g., Users, Courses, Groups).
    
6.  Check the Deep Linking box under LTI Advantage Extensions.
    
7.  Copy and paste the following values from the previous step:
    

*   **Domain URL:** lti-api.genially.com
    
*   **JWKS URL:** The Keyset URL provided by Genially in the previous step
    
*   **OIDC Login Init URL:** https://lti-api.genially.com/login
    
*   **Redirect URLs:** [https://lti-api.genially.com/](https://lti-api.genially.com/)
    
*   **Custom Parameters:** The custom parameter provided by Genially in the previous step
    

8.  Check the box “This app complies with Schoology’s Terms of Use.”
    
9.  Click “Submit.”

### **Set Up Schoology in Genially (LTI 1.3)**

1.  Go to Genially and paste the data provided by Schoology into Go to Step 2.
    

*   **Platform ID:** The Issuer provided by Schoology. [https://schoology.schoology.com](https://schoology.schoology.com) 
    
*   **Client ID:** Enter the Client ID provided by Schoology
    
*   **Authentication Endpoint URL:** Enter the OpenID Connect Login URL from Schoology. [https://lti-service.svc.schoology.com/lti-service/authorize-redirect](https://lti-service.svc.schoology.com/lti-service/authorize-redirect) 
    
*   **Public Key:** Enter the OAuth2 login URL provided by Schoology. [https://lti-service.svc.schoology.com/lti-service/access-token](https://lti-service.svc.schoology.com/lti-service/access-token)

2.  Click Create Connection.
    
3.  Finally, enable the connection in both Schoology and Genially.

**What do I need to activate the integration?** You’ll need a Genially account with access to the LTI 1.3 integration and admin permissions in Schoology.

**Do students need a Genially account?** No, they don’t. Students can view the content without logging in.

# **Add Geniallys in SCORM Format to Schoology**

To insert a Genially as an activity in Schoology, you’ll need to export it as a SCORM package from Genially and then upload it to your LMS.

  

### **1\. Export Your Genially as SCORM**

1.  In Genially, open the Editor for the creation you want to export as a SCORM package.
    
2.  Click the hamburger menu in the upper-right corner.
    
3.  Click **Download SCORM Package**.
    
4.  Select the **preset** based on the tracking objective you want:
    
    *   **Access**: Tracks access and viewing time, and sends that data to the LMS.
        
    *   **Progress**: Tracks status and score based on the percentage of pages viewed, and sends that along with viewing time to the LMS.
        
    *   **Points**: Allows you to mark specific pages as key for scoring and status; sends this data and viewing time to the LMS.
        
    *   **Questions**: Records answers to interactive questions and sends them, along with viewing time, to the LMS.
        
5.  Download the generated ZIP file.

### **2\. Set Up SCORM in Schoology**

1.  Make sure you're logged in as an admin with permissions to add content items in Schoology.
    
2.  To add a SCORM package to a course, follow these steps:

4\. Click “Add Materials” and then select “Add Package” from the dropdown.

6\. Click “Attach File” and locate the SCORM package you downloaded from Genially.

7\. Click “Next” to configure SCORM settings such as grading options.

8\. Once the SCORM is added, set the tracking preferences.
