# How to create a new workspace

Gaudí once said, “Great temples have never been the work of a single architect.” And he was right. Building temples instead of walls is much easier thanks to the [**Team**](https://help.genially.com/en_us/whats-a-team-in-genially-and-how-to-make-the-most-of-it-ry32jPr2j): a space within the tool where you can collaborate with members of your project or organization to create amazing content.

  

## Steps to create a Team

In addition to the Team that’s automatically created when you open your Genially account, you can also create additional Teams. The number of Teams you can create depends on your plan. Here’s how to do it:

1.  Log in to Genially and click the Team icon in the upper-left corner.
2.  In the window that appears, click Create a Team.
3.  A new window will appear where you can add the team’s name and a short description. Enter the information and click Create Team.

That’s it! Your new **Team** will be added to your **My Teams** **list**, which you can check anytime in your account settings.

  

When you have more than one Team, it’s very easy to switch between them. Just click the Team icon in the upper-left corner of the screen and select the Team you want to access.
