# How to create with Genially AI Builder

Got an idea? Shape it with AI Builder. This is a new way to create interactive resources without touching any code—just through a conversation.

We’ve already created tons of [components with the AI Builder](https://help.genially.com/en_us/how-to-use-ai-components-ByRdxQcyWg). Now they’re yours! They’re ready to customize and share. Take a look around to see if you can find what you need — but if you want to create your own, keep reading.

  

## **What can I create**

With AI Builder, you can create all kinds of interactive components, such as games, activities, challenges and missions, diagrams, interactive maps, timelines, infographics, and much more.

  

## **How it works**

Access **AI Builder** from the left menu in the editor or from the Genially AI shortcut in the bottom menu. Then:

1.  **Describe your idea**
    

*   **Specify all the details**: how you want it to look, what you want to happen, what you want to customize. You can even ask it to adapt to a specific theme.  
    Example: _Create an interactive game where my students match words with their definitions. Start with five terms related to the human body, with a colorful design, a hint system, and animations that celebrate when each word is matched with its definition and when the game ends._
    
*   If needed, **add additional sources** (PDFs or images) so AI Builder can use them as references.

2.  **Refine**
    

*   AI Builder generates the code for you and presents a **first result**. **Preview it.**
    
*   **Edit it until it matches what you have in mind**. From the pencil button you can edit some parameters such as colors or fonts, or continue chatting with the AI to refine it. We even give you suggestions in the chat!
    
*   Every time you make a request, a new version of your component will be generated so you can go back to previous versions if needed.
    
*   When it’s ready, click **insert into your creation.**

3.  **Customize**
    

*   Once it’s on the canvas, you can edit your component’s elements: images, text, colors, **interactivities**, effects… Use the full power of Genially!
    
*   If you want to further customize or refine your component, click the AI icon ✨ or select “Edit with AI.” Ask it to expand your content with a theme, translate it, or adjust the style. It’ll only change what you ask for! But if you want to fully rework the resource, just tell it what you need. This lets you modify the structure and creates a new version.

This tool is currently under development and therefore has some limitations, such as translating into other languages, meeting accessibility standards, or storing previously generated components. We’re continuing to work on reducing these limitations.

  

## **How many credits are used**

To use AI Builder, you’ll need AI credits. Specifically, each generated version costs 30 credits. If you make changes without modifying the structure, you won’t need any credits. This is the current pricing and may change in future updates.
