Did you know you can download your Genially to **view or present it without an internet connection?**

The best way to enjoy your Geniallys is online-through their link and with full interactivity and animation. However, there may be times when you prefer to download your creation. Download is a premium feature that lets you get your content in five formats: [**JPG**](https://help.genially.com/download-a-genially-as-images-Sy5I9vS2i)**,** [**PDF**](https://help.genially.com/en_us/download-a-genially-as-an-interactive-pdf-HkOUqvH3j)**,** [**MP4**](https://help.genially.com/en_us/download-a-genially-as-an-mp4-video-ryNqAUcAj)**,** [**HTML**](https://help.genially.com/how-to-download-a-genially-as-html-to-embed-it-on-another-website-SJ2U5vr2s)**,  GENIALLY (view offline with Genially Viewer)** and [**SCORM**](https://help.genially.com/download-your-geniallys-as-scorm-packages-HJDa5vH2o)**.**

  

## Offline download features

*   This format keeps **interactivity** and **animations**.
*   **Hidden pages** won't appear in the download.
*   **External content** that requires an internet connection, such as a YouTube video, won't work offline. If you're online, it will display just like the version accessed via link.
*   Creations downloaded for offline viewing **can't be opened or played on mobile phones or tablets.**

  

## How offline download works

When you generate the download, a file in .genially format is saved to your device.

Whenever you want to view or present your Genially offline, double-click the **.genially** file. It will open in the Genially Viewer app along with any other creations you've previously opened and saved in Creations.

  

## How to download your Genially for offline viewing

If you're editing your creation:

1.  Click the **Share** button in the top right corner.
2.  Click **Download**, then choose the **View offline** option.
3.  A .genially file will automatically download to your device
4.  To view your content offline, you'll need the Genially Viewer desktop app.
5.  A screen will open with several options to download the app for [macOS](https://apps.apple.com/app/genially-viewer/id6769711566), [Windows](https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nk865k2l4g9?cid=DevShareMLNPCBIL&hl=en-US&gl=US), [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.genially.viewer.app), or [iOS](https://apps.apple.com/app/genially-viewer/id6769711566).
6.  Choose the one that matches your operating system and download it.

You can also click the main menu (top-left corner) and select **Download → View offline.**

  

If you haven't started editing yet and you're in the dashboard, you can quickly access your creations from the Content section:

1.  Hover over the thumbnail of the creation you want to download and click the **Download** icon.
2.  Hover over the creation.
3.  Click the download icon.
4.  Select the View offline option.
5.  A .genially file will automatically download to your device.

  

## How the Genially Viewer desktop app works

The app has several sections:

*   **Creations:** where all the Geniallys you've downloaded in .genially format are stored.
*   **Filter:** to sort creations alphabetically (A-Z) or by last opened
*   **Settings:** where you can adjust the language

  

To import your creation and view it offline:

1.  Drag and drop the creation-it will open automatically.
2.  Click "Import creation" and select it from your device.
3.  All creations you open in the desktop app will be saved in the Creations section.

  

You can also rename or delete a downloaded creation from the app:

1.  To **delete** it: click the three dots at the bottom of the Genially in the app.
2.  Click Delete

  

1.  To **rename** it: click the three dots at the bottom of the Genially in the app.
2.  Click Rename
3.  A screen will appear where you can change the name of the creation.
