## What is Genially Community?

Genially Community is a space for all Genially users to connect, learn, and exchange ideas. The Community includes diverse [groups and programs](http://www.genially.com/community), as well as Community Templates: the largest bank of peer-generated interactive content in the world.

## What are Community Templates?

Community Templates are real projects designed and shared by other Genially users. They are 100% editable so you can customize every element, keeping as much or as little of the original design as you like.

Community Templates are a time-saver and a source of inspiration. See what other users have made, discover fresh ideas, and get a head start on your own projects.

Whether you’re teaching seventh grade algebra or a fire safety training course, chances are that someone creative, somewhere in the world, has already designed something similar!

Access [Community Templates](http://app.genially.com/community) in the sidebar menu of your Genially dashboard.

You can discover designs by:

*   Searching by topic.

* Searching by @name, if you already know the handle of your favorite creators.

* Browsing tags, popular categories, featured designs, and top creators.

#### Free or premium?

Most Community templates are free, but you’ll need a paid plan to access those with premium features.

**Respecting others’ work**

Remember that using another person's design as a template does not mean claiming authorship. We encourage all Community members to credit the original designer where possible. Check out our [Community Guidelines](https://help.genially.com/en_us/genially-community-guidelines-Bk6Z5V15xe).

## How to remove content from Community

1. From your dashboard, go to **Community**.
2. Click on **Community Profile**. Here you can see the creations you've shared in Genially Community.
3. Next to the design your want to remove, go to the **Options** menu and select **Remove from Community.**

Your design will no longer appear in Genially Community, although it may take a few minutes to update. Copies already made by other users will remain active.

Removing a design from Community stops it being shared there, but don't worry - it won't delete the design from your workspace!

If you delete a design from your workspace, however, it will also be removed from Genially Community.

##
Frequently asked questions

### **Why can't I share content in Community?**

**Teams**
If you have a team plan, the Owner or Admin can configure [privacy and publication settings](https://help.genially.com/en_us/team-permissions-in-genially-SytWj39xl). This includes blocking web indexing or preventing team members from sharing designs as reusable templates. In this case, you may not be able to share content in Genially Community.

**Students**
If you were invited to use Genially by your teacher, you won't be able to share designs in Genially Community. This is due to privacy restrictions for students occupying a [Student Seat](https://help.genially.com/en_us/student-seats-in-genially-B1pyyq2IC) in an Education Workspace.

### Can I use someone else’s template and share it again as a reusable template?

Yes! Genially Community is a creative hub for exchanging ideas and building interactive experiences with the help of others. You can make a copy of a Community Template, edit the design, put your own spin on it - and then share it again, as a new Community Template.

### Why is my content is appearing in Genially Community? I don't think I shared it there

If you previously published a design as reusable as a template **and** visible to search engines (indexed on the web) it may be listed in the Genially Community catalog.

To see which designs you're sharing, go to **Community** and select **Community Profile**. Here you can see all the content you're sharing, and remove any designs you don't want to share.

We've simplified the process so content is now only listed in Genially Community if you actively share it as a template in Community.

###
Can my content be used for commercial purposes?

When you share a project as a Community Template, other users can make a copy and edit the design. For that reason, we recommend you avoid sharing projects that feature licensed content. See our [Terms and Conditions](https://genially.com/terms/) for more information about usage rights and ownership.

### Can other users contact me or find my email address in Genially Community?

Users can only see your user name, the designs that you’ve shared, and information that you've added to your Community Profile, such as your social media links.

Make sure to only share information that you’re happy to share with the world, and don’t share designs that contain [private or sensitive information](https://help.genially.com/en_us/genially-community-guidelines-Bk6Z5V15xe).

Your email address and personal data related to your account is private.

###

### What's the difference between Team Templates and Community Templates?

If your plan includes the Brand Kit, you can create [Team Templates](https://help.genially.com/en_us/how-to-create-and-manage-team-templates-in-genially-S1IRsPB3j). These are designs that can only be accessed by members of your team.

Community Templates are designs that you have shared with the global community of Genially users.
