It’s free and easy to sign up to Genially, and there are multiple ways to set up and access your account. 

As well as creating an account with your email address, you can log in with the accounts you already use every day at work, home, or school. One less password to remember!

You can sign up and log in to Genially with **Google, Microsoft, Office 365, Facebook, X, Linkedin**, and [Clever](https://help.genially.com/en_us/log-in-to-genially-with-clever-sso-rkQtbgNSZg).

If your team has set up a **Single Sign-On**, you can access Genially via SSO.

  

## How to sign up for a Genially account

1.  Visit [genially.com](http://genially.com) and go to [Sign up](https://auth.genially.com/signup).
2.  Tell us whether you’re using Genially for work or study, so we can help you get the most out of the platform.
3.  Create your account using a sign up method, or by entering your email address and creating a password.

4\. Follow the steps, accepting Genially’s [Terms of use](https://genially.com/terms) and [Privacy](https://genially.com/privacy/) policy.

5\. If you sign up using your email address, you will need to [verify](https://help.genially.com/en_us/how-to-verify-your-email-address-in-genially-SJ219DBnj) your account. Check your inbox and open the email from Genially. Click on the All set button in the email.

Your account is ready! You can now start designing interactive content in Genially. 

  

## How to log in to Genially

Visit [genially.com](http://genially.com) and go to [Log in.](https://auth.genially.com/login)

You can log in with the same method you used to sign up for an account:

*   With your email address and the password you created.
*   With a sign up method like Google, Facebook, or Clever.
*   With the Single Sign-On (SSO) set up by your organization.

  

## Clever SSO

Does your school use Clever? Students and teachers can sign up and log in to Genially with their Clever login credentials. ## SSO based on SAML 2.0

Teams with a Campus or Enterprise plan have the option to set up a Single Sign-On based on SAML 2.0 for their organization. This feature is self-service: workspace owners can configure everything directly in their Genially dashboard.

#### Does Genially offer Single Sign-On (SSO)?

Yes - Genially offers Single Sign-On authentication via standard Identity Providers (IdPs) including Google, Microsoft, Office 365, Facebook, X, and Linkedin, as well as [Clever SSO](https://help.genially.com/en_us/log-in-to-genially-with-clever-sso-rkQtbgNSZg) and SSO based on SAML 2.0

  

#### Why can’t I sign up with my email address?

Due to security restrictions that prevent phishing, you cannot sign up using a gmail email address that contains a dot (.) in the name. 

For example: [name.surname@gmail.com](mailto:name.surname@gmail.com) ❌

But don’t worry - if you have a gmail address with this format, there are several simple solutions:

1.  Enter your email address, but without the dot. For example: [namesurname@gmail.com](mailto:namesurname@gmail.com) ✅

The email will still reach you correctly. Fun fact: Google doesn’t distinguish between email names with or without dots. Learn more: [Dots don’t matter in email addresses.](https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7436150?hl=en)  

2\. If you still have problems, try using Sign Up with Google. 

3\. Alternatively, use a different email address.
